    The manufacturing process is IT-driven – from printed circuit board assembly, through soldering, to mechanical assembly and testing – all governed by advanced production software and state-of-the-art production equipment. The products and manufacturing execution system communicate, to ensure that product configuration and manufacturing flow are exactly right.

    An effective product structure, the so-called Bill of Material (BOM) is important to ensure the foundation for an effective product design and manufacturing process.     Intelligent and just-in-time internal logistics enabled by use of Autonomous Indoor Vehicles (AIVs)

    Classical Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGVs) rely on floor markings and therefore follow strict routes. If a person or another object is standing in their way, they cannot drive around them and need to stop. Our AIVs ensure intelligent and efficient delivery of parts to our employees and robot stations, as they are not dependent on humans.

    At the same time, they are part of our connected production with real-time tracking of individual parts and part arrival. Furthermore, their continuous machine learning and optimization of internal logistics will improve our OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and production lead-time.

    This real-time intelligence in material flow ensures a fast-reacting supply chain which continuously adapts to changes in the market.

    So why are we doing this?

    With the help of our AIVs, we create a ‘conveyor-free’ factory that allows us to be fast and agile when changing and optimizing our production setup.
